Jewelry Size Guide

A guide to finding your fit — for rings, necklaces, and bracelets. Each is measured a little differently, each with its own logic. Read the relevant section, or reach out and we'll walk you through it.

Before You Measure

A few things to know

Bodies change throughout the day. The most reliable measurement is taken in normal conditions — at room temperature, when you're rested, on the same hand or side you plan to wear the piece.

Time of day

Fingers and wrists are slightly larger in the evening than in the morning. For the most accurate fit, measure later in the day.

Temperature

Cold contracts; heat expands. Measure at a comfortable room temperature, not after a shower or a cold walk.

The right hand or wrist

Most people's dominant side is slightly larger. Measure the side you'll actually wear the piece on.

Wider bands sit tighter

A ring wider than 5mm will feel snugger than a thin band in the same size. If you're choosing a wide band, size up a half.

Ring Sizing

We use US ring sizing as our internal reference. If you know your size in another system, find it in the chart and we'll work from there.

How to measure at home

Method one — Ring sizer

A thin plastic strip with size markings, wrapped around the finger. The most accurate method. If you're working with us on a custom piece, we can send one to you.

Method two — A ring you already own

Measure the inner diameter of a well-fitting ring with a ruler, in millimetres. Match it to the Diameter column above.

Method three — String and a ruler

Wrap a strip of paper or a piece of string around the base of your finger. Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat, and measure the length in millimetres. Match it to the Circumference column.

Sizing a surprise

Borrow a ring they already wear on the right hand, and trace the inner circle on paper. Send us a photo with a coin for scale, and we'll work it out.

02 — Necklaces

Necklace Sizing

Length determines where the necklace sits on the body — and that decision is partly preference, partly practicality. What you wear it with, and what you want it to do.

14" 16" 18" 20" 24" 30"
  • 14" ChokerSits snug at the base of the throat. Modern, close to the skin.
  • 16" High ChokerJust above the collarbone. A touch more breathing room.
  • 18" PrincessRests at the collarbone. The most versatile length, and our default for pendants.
  • 20" MatineeJust below the collarbone. Layers well over a v-neck or with a shorter chain.
  • 24" LongSits at the center of the chest. Catches the eye over plain fabric.
  • 30" OperaFalls at or below the bust line. Worth wearing alone, or doubled into a shorter shape.

03 — Bracelets

Bracelet Sizing

Measure around your wrist with a flexible tape, just above the wrist bone. Then add a small allowance for how you want it to sit — snug, standard, or with a little movement.

Size Wrist + Allowance Bracelet Length
XSWrist + ½"6.5"
SmallWrist + ½"–¾"7"
MediumWrist + ½"–¾"7.5"
LargeWrist + ¾"–1"8"

For chain and tennis bracelets

Choose a fit that allows the bracelet to drape slightly on the wrist — half an inch of give is usually right. Too snug and the chain sits stiff; too loose and the stones face downward.

For bangles and statement pieces

A little more room is fine and often preferred. Measure across the widest part of the hand (knuckles tucked, thumb included) to make sure the bangle slides over comfortably.
